1-2-26 Cecil comes into rescue from a Southern MI Shelter as a transfer.
Cecil is a youngster at around a year old. He knows Sit and seems like a nice smart boy around people. He likes attention and likes toys. He is recently neutered so he dislikes the male dogs here.
He did a lot of whining when he first came here and continues to improve.

1-2-26 Poppy comes into rescue as a shelter transfer.
She is a nice friendly girl, with a docked tail.
Looks like she may have been a puppy producer, but that ship has sailed, so to speak.
She has a pending adoption with a meet and greet.
(Adopted) Delta Dawn (Black Shepherdx)
12-12-25 Delta Dawn comes into rescue as a shelter transfer and is a work in progress, working on trust.
Delta Dawn is a pretty girl who looks to be a Black Shepherd possibly. She is suspicious of new people and situations.
She loves treats though, so I'm able to work with her a bit. She shuts down if I touch her though and that just looks like her laying down and her wishing it was over.
Delta Dawn seems to like the old dog here, but is not impressed with crazy young dog antics.
She is a smart girl, and keeps her crate (overnight) clean. During the day, she has doggie door access to the exercise and play area.
She does haul all of the toys from the outside to the inside, and really prefers to stay in the heated building.

(Adopted) ACD Starsky
ACD Starsky is a new transfer to AuCaDo Rescue. His paperwork shows him around 3 years old and around 39 pounds.
Starsky found it hard to trust at the first Shelter and has come around to be able to be transferred to breed specific rescue. We are giving him time and patience to find his forever home/ family.

Comes into rescue from a Southern MI Shelter. He is a goofy boy who needs self confidence training. He is friendly and loves attention.
We are guessing on his breed. Shelter thought Shepherd. Yet his head shape and long hair looks Bernese Cattle Dog to me.
(Adopted) ACDx Ellie
7-11-25 Ellie comes into rescue as an owner surrender/ shelter transfer. (Eviction/Sleeping in Car)
Ellie is a six-year-old female, who only weighs 20 pounds. She could use a few pounds, but is still a little girl.
The vetting was done at the shelter, so she is now recently spayed, vaccinated, HW tested and chipped.
The vet thinks she is a Cattle dog and Corgi = Cowboy Corgi due to her size and rounded ears.
Ellie is people-friendly, kid-friendly, and cat-friendly.
The owner states that Ellie did not get along with the other dog in the home, but did very well with the cats.
Ellie does not like to share food/bones. She lived with a pup and was the boss dog. Ellie did fight with the other dog.
Yet, here in rescue, she co-exists with 3 other bigger dogs. Since she did fight in the previous home, we are looking for
Ellie to be an only dog.
(Adopted) Victor GSD
6-21-25 Victor comes into rescue from a Southern MI Shelter.
His Shelter bio says Victor is a very handsome GSD approximately 2 years old. He is very friendly with all dogs and loves to play with any dog he meets. He is very friendly with people.
He was fully vetted on June 11th and is HW negative.
(Adopted) GSD Bruno
5-3-25 Bruno comes into rescue from a Southern MI Shelter.
His paperwork shows him as an 8-10 month old GSD neutered Male. He has a super personality. He is friendly with people and with dogs. A bit on the submissive side. He is ready, willing and able to be trained. He is a good boy.

4-14-25 Athena, DOB 8-31-24, comes into rescue as an owner surrender. (Owner-Family-Medical)
Athena is very friendly, yet she needs manners training.
We are looking for ACD experience for this girl, as she has lots of potential.

4-15-24 Booker J comes into rescue as an owner surrender where he lost his home through no fault of his own.
Booker J is a nice dog who knows a few commands. He is around 2-3 years old and neutered.

She is recently vetted and is very friendly. She loves balls.

10-27-24 Lilac (German Shepherd)× comes into rescue from a Southern MI Shelter where she was a stray.
She looks to be under a year old and can use some weight on her. She weighs 44 #
Nice friendly girl. Initial dog test was friendly and playful. Was out in public (Home Depot) and did well there.
Recently vetted.

9-14-24 Lila comes into rescue from Animal Control. She has a good temperament and is recently vetted.

9-14-24 Stella, transfers to rescue from Animal Control. She has a great temperament and is now vetted. She is HW negative, however, she tested positive for Lyme and is on a 30-day treatment of Doxycycline.

(Adopted) Heeler X Husky puppy
EMBER is around 11 weeks old and he is looking for his forever home. He is 14 pounds and has some good sized paws.

She will be available after herJanuary 24th spay, and we are doing meet and greets beforehand.
She is a sweet pup about 5 months old.
She can be afraid of other dogs, probably lack of socialization. ACD experience required as well as an adoption application.

9-12-23 Clarence comes into rescue as an owner surrender. (This is at least his fifth move)
Clarence is around 4 months old with no vetting. He will be vetted before he goes to his forever home. This is at least his 5th move in his young life
